Chocolate City hip hop artiste Panchak Zamani, better known as Ice Prince, has signed a deal with the biggest music corporation in the world, Universal Music Group. The ‘Fire of Zamani’ rapper, who said the deal has been sealed and signed but is yet to be announced officially, didn’t give full details of the deal.

Really sad news. Singer Margaret Mary Oluwatoyin Ejiro Joseph popularly known as Zara Gretti has died. She died this morning in Nigeria after a  battle  with Multiple Sclerosis. (MS is an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord). Her last tweet last night was "I love and hate my life". She died a few hours later, this morning. She was only 28 years old. Zara, may your beautiful soul rest in perfect peace. This is so sad!

The Nasarawa Police Command, Tuesday, arrested the Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Innocent Lagi, for  scaling the fence of the State House of Assembly to serve a court order. Lagi was at the Assembly to serve the officials with a court injunction restraining the House from summoning the  chairman of Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission, NASIEC, and his commissioners to appear before them.

As much as the Nigerian music scene has been buzzing from the release of Phyno’s debut album, No Guts No Glory, there has been some controversy to follow it up. Rumbles started after fans who listened to Phyno’s Authentic (featuring Flavour), pointed out that the hook (performed by Flavour) sounds very similar to the hook on  DJ Spinall’s Gba Gbe  which was performed by Burna Boy. DJ Spinall went on twitter to voice his displeasure with what he described as pretty much ripping the entire chorus.

The Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria  Security  and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested a 20-year old man in Jigawa for raping a boy who is 8. The suspect was arrested on Sunday when they were hinted about the incident. A medical check-up was also carried out and it confirmed the little boy was raped.
