UBA Foundation Reaffirms Commitment to Environmental Sustainability

 In commemoration of World Environment Day 2026, the UBA Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group, has reinforced its commitment to environmental sustainability through a tree-planting exercise at two of Lagos’ most historic institutions — King’s College, Lagos and CMS Grammar School.


The initiative marks the commencement of the Foundation’s 2026 Tree Planting for Sustainability programme, designed to promote environmental consciousness among young people and encourage climate-positive action across selected schools in Nigeria.


Observed annually on 5 June and coordinated by the United Nations, World Environment Day remains the world’s leading platform for environmental awareness.

It's one of the biggest social events on the A-list calendar, so the pressure is on for the A-list to shine at the Golden Globes.   And while Margot Robbie, Zooey Deschanel and Anna Gunn lit up the red carpet, leading the best-dressed pack in off-white, not everyone got it quite right. Singer Ciara welcomes baby boy with her rapper fiancé Future

Singer Ciara has given birth to a baby boy. The Goodies hitmaker and her fiancé Future welcomed a son into the world 'very early' on Monday morning in Los Angeles, the New York Post newspaper's  Page Six  column reports. The baby is Ciara's first child, and Future's fourth. She explained: 'I went with what felt right in my soul and my gut. I didn't second guess it.' Luckily, the Body Party star also admitted her pregnancy has been 'very easy.'
