Lagos State Ministry Of Youths Welcomes New Ambassadors For "IBILE YOUTH ACADEMY 4.0"

The program commenced few weeks ago with a Three (3) day virtual training for about 2000 youths in the five (5) Divisions of the State (IBILE), on topics such as Critical and creative thinking; Self-discovery, Goal setting and scoring; Effective communication and public speaking; Drug and substance abuse; Team building and volunteerism; Financial intelligence and investment.
It is a Youth Training Program introduced to imbibe in the youths the virtues of Citizenship and Nation building with a view to impacting young people’s personal and community development required for a brighter future.
The best 100 youths from each of the five Divisions were picked for a two (2) day physical training in youth and nation building.Thereafter, the best ten (10) youths from each Division were selected for a six (6) day residential training camp.
Topics treated include: Lagos in History; Critical thinking; National patriotism, Financial literacy and money making, Overview of Lagos State youth policy; Leadership in digital age; Social media advocacy, Blogging and digital marketing. There were also Public speaking contest, group tasks and games.
At the end, the Lagos State Youth Ambassador (2021-2022) was elected from among the participants while five (5) youths emerged as Divisional Youth Ambassadors to represent the five (5) Divisions of the State.
They were tasked with partnering with the State Government in positively engaging the youth in their communities and the State.
