Dark Suburb Opens The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards

Few weeks after its unveiling at  The Awakening Concert, Ghana’s first alternative rock band, Dark Suburb, had a big break last night when it opened the launch of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in a thrilling performance that was nothing short of spectacular. The band begun their performance with an eerie introduction which saw their Chief Priest moving through the crowd  with his ‘ghost’ dancers  amidst some powerful poetry and incantations.

You can catch them at Republic Bar on Wednesday,  4th March, and Django on Thursday 5th March at 7pm each night  as they put up  some exciting performances.

They performed four of their songs starting with Get Out, I Go Be and the popular I Dey Feel You Die. They ended with a powerful rendition of their anthem dubbed Dark Suburb.  It was an exciting and refreshing performance which delighted the audience as many could be heard shouting Dark Suburb! It seems Dark Suburb is truly out to rock, and it’s obvious from the very beginning that the band would go places.
